We welcome your interest!

Who can apply?

The Starlight Case Manager will talk with you and gather information necessary to determine if you are eligible for the program. Your first step is to apply!

After you apply: Next steps in your recovery journey

Once your application is received, the Starlight Case Manager will reach out with next steps. If you’re initially eligible, the Case Manager will provide you with a handbook about the program guidelines to review and schedule an interview with you.

What to expect in the interview process

Interviews are an opportunity for you to determine if Starlight is a good fit and to preview the program in person. You’ll take a short tour, including visiting one of the residential cottages, and you’ll sit down with staff to exchange questions and answers. You may be able to chat with a resident so that you can ask about her experience at Starlight!

How will I know if I’ve been accepted?

The application process can take several weeks from start to finish. This time includes reviewing the application, obtaining records, asking clarifying questions, and conducting an interview. The entire Starlight team makes determinations of acceptance by reviewing all the information provided. Applicants are notified when either accepted or denied.

When can I move into Starlight Residential Recovery?

Admissions occur twice a year in the spring and fall. Typically, three to five families enroll each cycle. Admissions are scheduled once all families have been accepted for that cycle. The Case Manager notifies applicants who have been accepted and provides additional instructions on the next steps.

What if admissions are not open right now?

Applicants who apply outside of the spring and fall admissions cycle may request to be added to the Starlight Wait List. Mothers whose names are on the wait list are contacted first when the next admission cycle opens. Interested applicants are encouraged to stay in touch with the Starlight Case Manager.
