A Day in the Life

The first, and perhaps best way to glimpse what life is like at Starlight is to read Exploring Starlight (click the link).
Mornings to afternoons
Mornings at Starlight begin like everywhere else with coffee and morning routines, such as getting dressed for success, taking prescribed medications, and dropping off kids at school.
Some Starlight mothers go to group, and some mothers go off to work. On-and-off campus appointments also keep everyone busy during the day. After the children are picked up, Starlight families spend time bonding in the afternoons and then share meals together as families.
Evenings and Community Support
Evenings at Starlight are standard, with baths and wind-down time with time in a rocking chair and a good bedtime story. Once the kids are asleep, Starlight Moms work on a variety of tasks including lifework, schoolwork, personal devotions, and chore catch-up.
There is time and space to breathe, get outside, and be alone at Starlight – but we also provide the strength and support of a thriving community from which vital connections are formed that will become the backbone of your recovery.
